Welcome…

Twining Vines Zen is affiliated with Mondo Zen/Hollow Bones Order of the Japanese Rinzai Zen Buddhist Tradition.  This Sangha (community) is dedicated to providing an openhearted ‘container’ (form) for ‘seekers’ of transcending the mundane pain and suffering of life; accomplishing this through the ways of Zazen (sitting meditation), embodiment practices (Qigong/Tai Chi/Yoga), and the Buddha Dharma teachings.

The focus of this practice is silent sitting meditation to allow the quieting of the ego self-referencing mind long enough to experience the Clear Deep Heart/Mind (seat of consciousness, Source, Soul, Absolute Self, etc.).   From this profoundly subtle practice of being absolutely present in this moment, wise compassion arises and the veil of illusion that we are merely our thoughts, feelings, and stories is lifted…leading to an end to upside down views of ego confusion. Awaken!

“What is most essential is the practice of Dhyana, meditative mindfulness, which enables us to experience the Absolute Purity of our deepest nature and to hold that transpersonal truth in the complexity of our personal lives.” -Jun Po, Mondo Zen/Hollow Bones Abbot
